The acclaimed vocalist, Jackson Wang, has officially joined forces with WME, a leading talent agency, to manage all aspects of his burgeoning career. This strategic partnership, exclusively revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, signifies a major advancement for the artist across music, fashion, and his aspiring acting endeavors.
At 32 years old, Wang is currently featured in an Apple promotional campaign, coinciding with the September release of his latest track, "Thank You." His rise to prominence began as a member of the iconic K-pop ensemble GOT7. Since launching his solo career with the 2019 album "Mirrors," he has achieved remarkable success. "Mirrors" made history as the first album by a Chinese solo artist to chart on the Billboard 200. His subsequent single, "100 Ways," further broke barriers by making him the first Chinese singer to debut on Mediabase's U.S. Top 40. Furthermore, "LMLY" garnered over 103 million streams on Spotify and debuted on the platform's Global Viral 50 Chart, showcasing his widespread appeal.
Throughout his solo career, Wang has collaborated with a diverse array of international artists, including Ciara, Swae Lee, Major Lazer, Galantis, Gucci Mane, Joji, and GoldLink. Beyond his musical pursuits, he has also established his own ventures: Team Wang Records and Team Wang Design, reflecting his entrepreneurial drive and creative vision.
In 2022, the Hong Kong-born artist became the first Chinese solo act to grace the main stage of Coachella, where he delivered a memorable performance with Ciara for their collaboration "Slow." His continued impact on the festival scene was evident with his return to Coachella in both 2023 and 2024, solidifying his status as a global performer.
Beyond the music industry, Wang is a prominent figure at international fashion weeks, forging significant partnerships with luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Armani, Nike, and Air Jordan. His collaboration with Louis Vuitton has notably extended to working alongside the brand's creative director, Pharrell Williams, highlighting his profound influence in the fashion realm.
With his new representation from WME, Wang is poised to embark on an exciting new chapter, with a strong focus on expanding his presence in the acting world. He is actively seeking opportunities to showcase his talents on screen, adding another dimension to his already diverse career.
In addition to his new partnership with WME, Jackson Wang maintains his affiliations with Team Wang Records and Roc Nation, ensuring a robust support system for his continued artistic and business endeavors.
