
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Gears Up for Exciting Year Two Expansion

Sega has officially announced the commencement of 'Year Two' for its popular title, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, scheduled to begin on November 3rd, 2026. This significant update promises to bring an array of new content and enhancements to the game, aimed at revitalizing the racing experience for its dedicated player base. Players can anticipate substantial day-one updates, a host of new complimentary characters, and the eagerly awaited Season Pass Two, all designed to deepen engagement and expand the game's universe.
The upcoming expansion introduces several key features and collaborative content. A major highlight is the new 'Duel Mode,' offering one-on-one races with a unique 'Duel Boost' mechanic, alongside various match formats. The 'Gadget System' receives an upgrade with the introduction of the 'Grand Master Plate,' adding a seventh super slot and fifteen new gadgets to strategic gameplay. Furthermore, previously released free and premium characters will now be integrated as CPU opponents across all game modes. The 'Year Two' free character roster includes fan favorites like Bayonetta (November 2026), McLaren Racing (Sonic) (November 2026), and Aigis (early 2027). Season Pass Two is packed with diverse DLC, starting with the 'Godzilla Pack' (November 3rd, 2026), followed by the 'Evangelion Pack' (January 2027), 'Virtual Sanrio Puroland Pack' (Q2 2027), 'SEGALAND Pack' (Q3 2027), a 'Midgar Pack' from the Final Fantasy VII Remake series (Q3 2027), and a 'Reload Revival Royal Pack' from the Persona series (Q4 2027). The Season Pass also includes bonus content such as Sega Controller and Console decal packs, along with Super Shadow. Additionally, the game's Standard and Deluxe Editions will see price reductions, and new purchase options for Season Pass Two and a 'Year Two Digital Deluxe Edition' will be available, alongside a physical 'Year One Edition.'
