The developers are actively preparing an update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered on the Nintendo Switch 2. This patch is designed to standardize the game's performance and features across all available platforms, ensuring a more uniform experience for players, regardless of their chosen system. Beyond achieving this cross-platform consistency, a key focus of the update is to specifically refine elements unique to the Switch 2. The primary goals include a substantial boost in image clarity and overall visual sharpness, directly responding to initial player feedback.
Upon the remaster's initial release last week, a notable number of players reported a “blurry” appearance in the game's visuals on the Switch 2. CD Projekt Red promptly acknowledged these observations, indicating that they were also investigating “bloom effect” issues present across all versions of the game. The upcoming patch is a direct response to these concerns, explicitly targeting improvements in “image clarity and sharpness.” Players can anticipate more detailed information regarding these enhancements in the near future, promising a more refined visual journey into the world of Geralt of Rivia.
Despite the initial visual feedback, the remastered edition of The Witcher 3 on the Switch 2 is currently considered to be in an “excellent” playable state. For those who already own the game on the original Switch console, this enhanced remastered version will be available as a complimentary upgrade, allowing existing fans to experience the improved visuals and performance without additional cost.
