Vogue World's fifth global edition recently unfolded in Milan, transforming the iconic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II into a vibrant spectacle. This grand event, coinciding with the start of Milan Fashion Week, served as a dynamic celebration of Italy's rich legacy of craftsmanship and forward-thinking innovation. Beyond the dazzling displays, the initiative also dedicated its efforts to a charitable cause, raising essential funds for the Quarto Oggiaro Library located in the northwestern part of the city. The show brought together a formidable team of creative talents, encompassing various artistic domains to present a truly immersive and unforgettable experience for a worldwide audience.
On Tuesday, September 22, the fifth installment of Vogue World made its international debut in Milan, Italy. This landmark event took place within the breathtaking Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, marking the opening day of Milan Fashion Week. The spectacle enthralled both local and global audiences with a series of thematic presentations spotlighting the excellence of Italian handcrafts and pioneering innovation. Notable figures such as Anna Wintour and Francesca Ragazzi spearheaded the initiative, supported by a vast array of creative professionals. Juan Costa Paz of Convoy served as the creative director, while Lady Amanda Harlech led the fashion direction. Peter Aluuan acted as the styling director, with Luca Galasso overseeing fashion for special performers and the extended cast. Charm La’Donna was responsible for choreography, Jen Green of Genevieve Productions managed the show's production, and Stephen Galloway guided the movement direction. Judith Clark, a distinguished Professor of Fashion and Museology from the University of the Arts London, contributed as the Show Curator. Executive production duties were handled by Marie Julie Craeymeersch of Mode and the Moon, alongside Marco Balich and Balich Wonder Studios. Backstage operations were meticulously managed by Without Production. In terms of beauty, Pat McGrath Labs returned as the official backstage makeup partner, with Dame Pat McGrath herself leading the makeup artistry. Hair styling was expertly directed by Cyndia Harvey, and Eri Narita oversaw nail styling. Fashion and accessories were thoughtfully curated, with select items sourced from eBay, Vogue's official partner for vintage and pre-loved items. The musical landscape of the event was crafted by executive music producer Ivan Striga, with music direction from Gaspard Murphy and Thomas Roussel, while Ignace D’Haese of ARF&YES illuminated the proceedings with his lighting design. The entire event was livestreamed globally, directed by Becky Garner, known for her work on Justin Bieber's Coachella performance, and produced by Si Fi Productions. Viewers worldwide tuned in at 2 p.m. EDT/11 a.m. PDT (8 p.m. local time) to witness Vogue World: Milano live. The event was made possible through the generous support of presenting sponsors ALO, eBay, Eli Lilly and Company, and Meta Glasses, with additional contributions from FedEx and OpenAI.
